I had a real fear that she would make significant headway and be the dem pick, but her soundbytes over the last year truly emphasize "clueless moron".
She got a lot - a LOT - of slack here in CA for all her dumb stuff because of the CA demographics. I'm not sure how well her liberal arrogance will fly on a national level in much of the rest of the country, including with moderate dems.

Harris has never known anything but softball reporting in CA in every office she has held, nor has she worked with anything but a large dem majority in state government. The "How can we ever thank you for existing?" media questions may not be so forthcoming on the national level, especially with some new media darlings in the dem primary list.
Though of note, CNN seems to have already anointed her. She is the first one they have arranged a town hall with, and did so like 17 seconds after she announced.

However, considering their is a Mueller action figure, I can only imagine there is some small time outfit trying to market some of these stuff?

So it appears she has come out with a main campaign message of "eliminating all private health insurance". When asked if she would still allow people to have private insurance if they want it, the answer was "no".
I'm not totally familiar with various European models, but I think in most countries there, if you have the dough, you can still have private insurance. Is that correct? If so, then she is heading "Venezuela left" vs "UK left".

Maybe, but so far she's the only one the MSM has gotten behind, and sadly and scarily, outside of Joe Biden, I think she is the most "moderate" big name in the lot (so far).
Hopefully the good news on that will be an additional four years of TDS.

One comment I heard recently was that the only Democrats paying attention to Presidential candidates this early are the hard core Democrats who are mostly leftists. As a result, the early candidate hopefuls have to run to the left to get any traction or support. That person assumed they would run more and more to the center as we get closer to the election. That person said we would see the same thing on the Republican side, but to the right.
Anyway, just a different view. IMO, all those candidates are being more honest now than they will be closer to the election.

Slight tangent, but I recently read an article regarding Finland's UBI experiment. It basically showed no difference between a control group of unemployed and unemployed who received UBI regarding either group getting employment or "doing something" with their lives. The only concrete result was that the UBI unemployed reported being happier.
That make sense I guess, since with UBI, there was no stress about not having a job and no requirements (and stress) to look for a job as part of continuing unemployment benefits. Of course it appears to have given them no impetus (in fact possibly the opposite) to go out and find a job. If I know I have secure income with no strings attached that I don't have to work for, why should I work? I'll just go to the lake and fish every day. Of course if everybody does that, then who is driving trucks to stock supermarket shelves, etc.?
