The thing that leaped off of the reports about this for me was the fact that salons can be open outdoors but because this salon does color (Probably CA cancer causing stuff) they can't go outside to work. They have to keep all those noxious fumes contained in an enclosed space. :facepalm:

Plan B is to fit the employees with a rebreather circuit to make sure the fumes are recycled through their lungs a few times.

“I just thought about my staff and people not being able to work and make money and provide for their families, and if she is in there comfortably without a mask and feeling safe, then why are we shut down? Why am I not able to have clients come in?” Kious argued.

It's just a variation of Democrats replacing the actual scandal with the "scandal" of daring to blow the whistle on Democrats. Speaking truth to power is only heroic when they do it.
I still think Pelosi should apologize for cultural appropriation. First, to Lori Lightfoot. Secondly, for stealing Marion Barry's "b**ch set me up" defense.

“It just demonstrates that there seems to be some kind of a double standard between what city employees are allowed to do and what the residents of San Francisco are allowed to do,” Dave Karraker, owner of MX3 Fitness in the Castro, said.
“What the city has unwillingly done is created this great case study that says that working out indoors is actually safe,” said Karraker. “So, at this point, we’re just demanding that they allow us to have the same workout privileges for the citizens of San Francisco that the employees of San Francisco have.”

Apparently it found out partly because a gym owner asked some local police if they needed a place to work out and they said no.
She appears to have discovered the hypocrisy by accident. NBC Bay Area reported that at one point, Rabkin reached out to a couple of San Francisco police officers in the neighborhood that she knows to inquire whether they needed someplace to work out since the gym at their station was allegedly closed.
But in a text exchange, Rabkin discovered that the officers did indeed have access to the SFPD Northern District Police Station gym. Furthermore, police said last week that coronavirus protocols including sanitization and occupancy limits have been implemented for department gyms.
