There was.  It's no longer part of the US inventory.



They were still in NG armories when that guy stole one and rampaged through San Diego, in 1995 though.

I cant see why we should allow semi auto rifles but not full auto. Heck, I would rather be attacked by one bad guy with a machine gun than two with revolvers.
