Sounds like a better option than McCain....even as a protest vote.....

Heard him yesterday on Beck. Liked what I heard. Sounds like a decent guy.

Unlike McCain, he thinks that he could beat Obama or Hillary....

You forget. If you vote for Root, you're handing the election to Hillary.

So if you don't vote for McCain, you HATE AMERICA! AND FREEDOM! AND APPLE PIE!

Of course, apple pie really isn't American. People ate apple pie in 14th century England, and apple strudels in Germany.

Pumpkin pie is closer, since it's a squash first cultivated in the Americas, but even that is related to longstanding recipes for squash puddings.

I think the best we can do is cornbread.

My people call it "maize"...

or they would, if they weren't Irish.

Wow.

I'd be interested to hear more.

He looks almost too good to be true.

Nope nope nope, a majority of the people on this board can't vote for this guy.

Quote
The WAR in Iraq:
*Republicans say "stay forever" (or 100 years as John McCain predicted). Wrong answer. Democrats say "Go right now." Wrong answer. It is a much more complicated issue than that. I believe the answer must involve a combination of nuance, compromise and common-sense.
*Admit the Iraq war is a disaster.
*Admit post-war planning was a disaster.
*Admit it's a civil war in Iraq- and our boys do not belong in the middle of a civil war. Our troops are not policeman.
*Use the success of the surge to declare victory and make plans to get out of Iraq as soon as reasonably possible.

Sorry.

What are his qualifications for the job? Just asking.

He's been born in the United States, is over 35 years old, and has lived in the US in the last 14 years, he qualifies.

I was thinking more along the line of what his qualifications are to do the actual job of president. Not so much whether he's legally eligible.

Meh.

Looking at pics of the guy, he needs to have one of those orange fake tans, some gold necklaces and a bracelet, and wearing a hawaiian shirt to be in his natural element.

Guy HAS to be associated with organized crime:  He's respected in Las Vegas.

I'll pass, and write in Ron Paul or Mickey Mouse.
