With a few bars just an octave off the "A-Team" theme, yes. cheesy

I expect this will be immediately banned, if it isn't already, but I would like to see more of this. I am sick of the world of advertising and media in general being PC beige.

O. M. F. G.

That is easily the best commercial I have seen in years, in terms of sheer awesomeness. I would not be surprised if it gets pulled very soon. Shooting, AND horrible fattening food, directed at a fit, less than virile seeming male? Can't have any of that.

Pulled but for this reason..........gay bashing.

Quote
The makers of Snickers are pulling an ad after it failed to get laughs among gay rights activists who called it homophobic, according to an Associated Press report.

In the commercial, a man is speed-walking down the street when 1980s icon Mr. T comes barreling around the corner, firing candy bars at him and calling him a "disgrace to the man race."

The ad, which aired in the United Kingdom, ends with the tagline "get some nuts."

The AP says Mars Inc., which makes the candy bars, meant the ad to be funny, not offensive, and that's why they decided to pull it. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation said the ad used stereotypes of gay men.

Readers may recall that this is actually the second time Mars has pulled a Snickers ad because of accusations that it was homophobic. In 2007, a Super Bowl ad featuring two men accidentally kissing over a Snickers bar was yanked after similar complaints.

Sad.  I wish they'd send Mr T. over to the gay rights people.

Mr. T needs to visit the wimps at Mars Inc.

I recall a more sensible time, when the ad would have stayed on the air, but without the crass "nuts" tag line.

So now the videos have become viral - and Snickers doesn't have to pay for the millions of Youtube views they'll no doubt get.

While this is nonsense, its also worth noting that the religious lobby got this banned on the grounds that the last scene was offensive, so whiny complaints from people who have clearly nothing better to do is probably widespread:

I have to admit, the skinny guy speedwalking was pretty offensive  grin

Gay rights is becoming a joke. They need the right to get stuff pulled because it offends them when blacks can't get the KKK banned? I guess the first amendment only counts as long as no one gets their feelings hurt. Get some nuts indeed.

It's a commercial for an improved cable connection that offers Dolby sound and widescreen stuff. I don't know why you didn't get that - it seems obvious.
