Trying to find a song

I don't usually do this. I can usually find songs I've heard with just a scrap of the lyrics and Google. But this one has foiled me.

Heard it on a classic rock station, its a "highway" song, and has an allusion to "Little Runaway" in it, I think it was something about Little Runaway being on the radio, but I have googled to that effect and come up dry.

Should have clarified, it is not Little Runaway but it did allude to it, therefore must be newer than.

If I ever wanted to really embarrass myself, I would dig out the VHS tape of me and some buddies playing that song at a high school talent show back in 1990 and post it on YouTube.
