Man charged over attempted US bank bomb plot
« on: October 18, 2012, 09:50:58 AM »
In other news, Feds yet again supplied another moron with inert explosive simulants (also, I've found yet another real word that Firefox thinks is wrong :P) and then proceed to watch as said moron tries to blow up the Federal Reserve of New York.

And just for something different, I pulled Al-Jazeera's copy of the story...

The FBI has certainly developed a talent for picking the low-hanging fruit.  >:D

No doubt there was a "smart" reason for importing this guy into this nation?

Why fight overseas when there's plenty of insurrection, sponsored by our own, right here in the US of A?

With QE3 Unlimited underway, one might argue that NOT blowing up the Fed Reserve is more in the interests of ME Islamists...

Point well taken.

1) Why was he in the country in the first place.

2) This almost screams entrapment.   Other then the fact that he's a moron.

After feel a burning in my craw from the threadabout the DHS agent, I had to look here to see if at least the DHS was responsible for stopping a bomb plot.
Nope.

What the heck is the purpose of the DHS anyhow?

In cases such as that I always wonder who the "bomber" (sucker?  I don't know) talked to, that was not working to convict him.  That question will probably not be answered.

Former team mates worked this case.  He showed hints of wanting to do SOMETHING at college, the FBI made it 'possible'.  His parents are working class in India, not sure if they would be considered radical.  They spent their entire savings to send him here to learn Business Administration.

So let me get this straight, there is such an obvious lack of actual terrorists that the Government has to fund a "terrorist encouragement operation" lest they run out of boogeymen to justify their blooming police state?

And this is the second such case I have read about.

Please, go bankrupt sooner US Federal Government.

someones got to ask it...,. "what would ron paul do?" [popcorn] >:D
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Deport the kid.  Lay off the dozens of people who evidently don't have real work to do...or maybe move them over to Immigration to speed up the process of making skilled, educated, contributing, immigrants into US citizens, while deporting the rest.

The more prosaic possibility is that they are just trying to justify their budget, like any other government agency.

Entrapment is a reality, but you still have to be ready, willing, and able to detonate the bomb they give you.

Who is this kid and why was he in this country?  Who wanted him here and why?

Our policies regarding whom we admit to this nation, legally and illegally, require ruthless scrutiny.  We are being squeezed from both outside and inside (our education system, broadly defined).

This will--the issue of American identity--will be huge over the next few years.

True...but what are the chances that you might be able to find crazy people on the web who will do crazy stuff if you finance it and instruct them?

Bomb the Federal Reserve?

I think intense zealotry is the prerequisite there.
