Ain't near enough. There needs to be criminal prosecution. I think a fitting punishment for those involved would be for them to live as they forced the disabled men to live, including the physical abuse, for the rest of their life.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Corporate aholes like that get stupid laws made for the rest of us.   Well done,  *expletive deleted*ers.

Here's hoping the victims of this actually get their settlement,  rather than the courts saying "You get X",  from a company with no assets.

Life would be simpler if the family members just strung the corporate aholes up.

  • Yes, your moderation has been outsourced.
Sadly, justice has been outlawed.

Very True.

So this requires government regulation  ???

I thought that assault and kidnapping were already crimes  =|
Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one. The road goes upward toward the light; but the laden traveller may never reach the end of it.  - Ursula Le Guin

Working conditions and other stuff are already covered also.  Enforcement is rarely addressed very well by politicians.

It's interesting that about a hundred years ago the US gov was sending out the military to protect the right of corporations to treat people like that  ;/
