Ah yes, the thread I come to when I want to get pissed!

With a little hunting, I can still find gas for under $3.  Filled up on the way home from work yesterday for $2.99.9.  And thank you, Ben for letting me know I could have actually GOTTEN IT CHEAPER IN CALI@&%*NIA.    [ar15]  [ar15]  [ar15]  [ar15]  [ar15]

That's unexpected. Do you guys have some extra gas taxes now or something? I would have figured the Vegas area would be one of the cheapest areas in NV.

Okay, you just provoked me into logging on to "Gas Buddy".  They show Costco prices at $2.45.  We dropped our Costco membership years ago when the closest one to us became a "business center."  Sam's Club is showing up at $2.49 to $2.75.  Except at the one close to us.  Then there are a few at 10 to 15 cents less than $2.99, but they are all far enough of that I'm not going to spend the time (traffic!) and miles to get to them. Especially with an 11 gallon tank.  I put 7 gallons in it yesterday.  Driving across town to save a buck or less ain't gonna happen.

Gas Buddy shows the highest prices (regular) running from $3.21 at a 7-11 to a Sinclair at $3.39.

In or near MY turf, $2.99 is the best I'm gonna get at the moment.  I would find it hard to believe that we pay more because we're in a higher income area.  Our household is pretty average.

I filled up for 1.95 outside of Winston-Salem yesterday. Here around Raleigh it's still 2.09.

$2.02 yesterday at the Wilco-Hess down the hill.  Wifey reports under $2 up the highway at a couple of places in Caldwell County.

Interesting the prices are going down in some places but up in others.  Back up to $2.09 here in the Tulsa are yesterday, lowest I saw it was $1.85 on Friday.

Wondering if we're close to the bottom here, as well.  The last bottom we hit $1.97 at the Wilco-Hess.  It's $1.99 today; noticed the truck making a delivery as we drove by on the way to the local Asian market.
Paid $1.99 at the Raceway late this morning filling the truck.

Well to be fair,  is $2.65 on the other side of the mountain. Eastern Sierra is a long haul for the fuel trucks. I still have to fill the tank once with the expensive stuff though.

Just bought for $1.81 last night. No special discounts to get there, either.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Last week is was 2.23.  Then jumped to 2.46.  Prices seem to go up and down by a quarter or so at any given moment.
