Whelp... Iran just paid lip service to price supports, and the price of oil, gasoline, and heating oil are skyrocketing.

I have a feeling this is a short term bump, too many countries have oil dependent treasuries. They don't want any civil wars.

Need to leave Kalifornia and move to a "free" and less expensive state.

$1.59 at the two local stations we frequent.

$1.559 this morning. The one local station has 6 cents off weekends and that carried over to this morning.

Oil's rising pretty hard this morning. IEA came out with a pretty pessimistic report on the state of shale oil and drilling rigs.

OK, dropped to $1.559 at the closest station to me in the middle of the week, which means that it will be $1.499, or lower, Saturday.

It's running from $1.63 ($1.60 with the car wash) at Delta Sonic to $1.79 at various stations.  It seems to have stabilized at that price for now.

Went by my favorite station at about 1:30 this afternoon on the way to a meeting at work.  The price was $1.59.  Passed by again on the way home at about 3:15 PM and it had jumped to $1.74.  Immediately went and filled up across the street where it was still $1.61.
No idea if this is a temporary bump or a permanent trend upward.  Most likely a refinery went into a meltdown or something.

RBOB has gone from 0.92 to 1.07 over the last week or so.  It's the refineries switching from the more expensive winter blends to the more expensive summer blends.  Or they are shutting down for maintenance.  Or someone accidentally spilled some gas at the local ARCO station.  Who knows?

Gasoline's starting to creep upwards in Northern Virginia.

The price of crude has risen a bit over the last few weeks, as have gasoline futures.

Supposed to be taking a 20-30 cent jump here in the next couple of weeks as Summer blend comes back into play.

Yep, when they replace the more expensive winter blend with the more expensive summer blend.

And another day off at the races. Oil is closing in on $40 a barrel and heating oil and gasoline are absolutely *expletive deleted*ing skyrocketing today.

Gas jumped another 17 cents here today.  In total we're up about 30 cents a gallon since we hit bottom at $1.54-$1.56 a few weeks ago.  If the trend continues, we'll be back over $2.00 a gallon in two weeks.
