I'd suggest Virginia, but we seem to be moving away from freedom, currently.
Which makes South Carolina the obvious choice, obviously.

Prices went the, opposite of what I'd expected for the 4th, a couple weeks before the weekend prices where around $2.20, the closer it got to the weekend the lower prices went.  They bottomed out at $1.92 on the 3rd & 4th, they're back up to $1.95 today.

Nice.

The prices in my area have barely budged.

We're back down below $2 a gallon.  $1.99 at my usual station as of yesterday, but the Exxon across the street has dropped to $1.99 also.  That usually presages another drop at my usual place.
Saw $1.94 over in Newton last night when I went for dinner before work.

Prices have been slowly sliding the last couple of weeks in my area. Yesterday the Citgo near my house went from $2.11 to $2.05. The stations in Arlington that I talk about regularly have also dropped, but are in the $2.09-$2.11 range still. I figure it will be a couple of days before they drop, as well.

The crude and gasoline futures are taking a complete pummeling this afternoon.

$2.16 here in W. Michigan today.  Odd thing last week.  Gas was $2.32 here in Grand Rapids.  We drove up to Charlevoix, Mi which is in the heart of wealthy money and tourism.  (On Lake Michigan and a couple of the largest inland lakes are nearby, Lake Charlevoix right there and a couple others to the NE and SE.  100 foot lots go for a couple million)  Gas was $2.16.  Gas has to be trucked up there through the GR area and tankers are dry going back down.  Go figger.

Again I curse the influence of California on Southern Nevada.  We've been bouncing around the $2.50 mark for a while now.

Prices here are still dropping too.  The cheap stuff at Murphy's is down to $1.829, diesel's at $2.039.  The more expensive places (Valeros & Exxon) are advertizing $1.929.

I paid $2.02 here in the lovely People's Democratic Republic of Illinois where the Sun is always shining.   (we had set different Thunderstorms move through today dumping about 4" of rain in over 3 hours.)

All Hail Speaker Madigan !!!

Now that that is out of the way.   =|

It's been hovering around $2.25-$2.30.  I only paid $2.02 because I used my new Fuel Rewards card and got $.25 off per gallon.  I need to explore how to earn fuel discounts with that card more....

Saw $1.999 cash price in Saugus, MA last night.  First time I've seen it below $2 in many years.
