My "go to" station was $2.42 when I drove past it on the way to work this morning. This afternoon I stopped for gas on the way home ... $2.75.

Crude was slightly up, and gasoline futures slight down, yesterday.

That's apparently from the news that the one pipeline company, Colonial, is saying that their pipelines weren't damaged badly and that they're getting gas flowing again as well as news that at least a couple of refineries have begun to restart operations.

While driving around yesterday:

Waterman- $2.49
Dupage County- $2.57 seemed to be the price at the majority of stations I saw.
Elmhurst - $2.77 (I believe that was just over the Cook County line)

Prices seemed to have stabilized.  I would hope given that there are three refineries in the Chicagoland area; Exxon Mobil in Joliet, Citgo in Lemont, and BP in Whiting, IN., I would think this area wouldn't be very hard hit when it comes to shortages and huge rice increases.

Shortages continue in this area.  More stations running out of 87 octane unleaded.

Just ran across another station out of regular unleaded.
And strangely enough, one station out of everything but regular unleaded.
Folks next to us discussing how they have had to check multiple stations to find gas.

I live in Hickory, NC., Mike.  Moved here from Orygun about 3.5 years ago primarily so my wife could look after her aging parents.

Still seeing $2.39 and no shortages around here.

Gasoline futures are falling hard this morning. Hopefully that's a good sign, as refineries come back on line. I've not heard anything about major damage at any of the refineries.

Most of our gas comes via the Colonial pipeline out of Texas.  It was shut down for a period post Harvey from what I read, though it's since been cranked back up.
As a precaution Friday I increased my stock of gas in storage just in case there were still shortages this week.  I have to get to work, and my wife needs to visit her Dad twice a day to look in on him.  He has Alzheimer's.
I expect the shortages will let up later this week as more gas is shipped up this way via the pipeline.

We've been holding steady around $2.55 to $2.65 for the last three days.  Maybe it's the pipeline coming back online.

Yep, same here. Citgo near my house has topped out at $2.55 since last Thursday.

Gasoline futures are moving down again today, but unfortunately crude is moving up.

Prepare for spikes following Irma.  If you can stockpile, now would be the time to do it...

I would, but all the cans are full of $2.85 non-ethanol gas.

For the last 4 days prices around here have been at $2.45 - $2.49 for the cheap stuff.

Paid $2.46 at the Pilot one exit south of the Mobil refinery in Joilet coming back from Peoria this weekend.  Gas in and around Peoria was $2.49ish to $2.57ish.  Still $2.55-2.77 around here.

Citgo went up to $2.59 yesterday afternoon.

The station near my office has always been expensive, but it's now up to $2.98.

Seems to have settled in the high $2.70's here.  Most stations are $2.75-2.79.  There are a handful in the $2.80's, but they are always higher then all the others...

We obviously are not pro-Trump enough and have pissed off the Russians....

It also appears they are horning in on Jamis' magic unicorn and fairey dust health foods.  Great, a pissed off midget little person starting a war with the Russians.  Isn't it bad enough we're about to have a war with an entire nation of starving xenophobic midgets...with nuclear weapons.

My second choice station was $2.87 at 10:30 this morning when I went past it on the way home from the VA hospital. At 3:00 p.m. it was $2.84.

My go-to station was still at $2.75 at 6:30 this evening.
