Filled up at $1.70 in rural SW Virginia. Even cheaper than the discount stores here.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

1.69.9 yesterday in West Point Virginia.  Lowest I've seen it in this century.

Price at the Citgo near my house finally hit $1.99. The Sunoco around the corner is $1.97.

The Liberty across the way from it (which I never use because it's very inconvenient to get into) is also at $1.99.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Virginia right now is $1.19 a gallon in Buckingham.

Wow. Back when I started this thread in 2014, the Citgo near my house was sitting at $3.15 a gallon...

Man, as of yesterday my local station is at $2.55 - only a 5 cent drop since this crash started. I just don't get it.

Gas has finally made a bigger drop locally.  We're at a $1.85 now at some of our go to stations.

$1.49 around here in the Milwaukee Metro locally. And even cheaper at Costco in the further out burbs where it was $1.28.
I promise not to duck.

How far does fuel need to be trucked in and how many times is station replenished each week? Shorter trucking distances and fuel turnover will allow for faster drop in prices. Also depends upon the prices at the terminal.

Our cheapest stations probably have fuel delivered every 2-3 days and our fuel terminal is 7 miles from my house, ethanol plant is 2 miles form my house. About as cheap as you're going to get for trucking.

Local Brookshire's grocery store dropped about $.20 over the last couple of days.  Last Sun it was ~$1.85, today it was $1.68.

Back home in MN, gassbuddy says gas is $1.59 at Costco, $1.65 at Fleet Farm and the KwikTrip close to Fleet Farm, and all over the place but less than $1.90 everywhere else.  Most stations at $1.85

$1.49 here.

Gas buddy says the cheapest gas in Virginia is 99 cents a gallon. I never thought I'd see that again in my lifetime.

Haven't even looked at gas.  Filled up last week, along with 4 of my 5 gallon cans.  Have barely driven anywhere...

There's supposedly 99 cent gas in quite a few states.  The cheapest I've found on Gassbuddy is a station in Kentucky (89 cents)

I ran to the store the other evening and passed the Exxon I've talked about, the one that's on its own stretch of road with no stations within a couple miles of it. It's always had a pretty high price because of its isolation...

The price of regular unleaded at that station hasn't moved. It's still sitting at $2.99 a freaking gallon.

FINALLY seeing some downward movement here. My local station has gone from $2.55 to $2.45, and Costco is at $2.30.
