“‘I, Mayor Murray, pardon Braeburn the Tofurky,’ the mayor proclaimed in the atrium of Seattle City Hall.” ....

The Tofurkeys will be donated to the Rainier Valley Food Bank, which doesn’t really sound like they’re getting pardoned at all.

Like pretty much everything else there, things are not what they seem.

stay safe.

I was in Boulder just over a year ago, helping with flood cleanup.  I found it very difficult not to be judgmental; not so much against the people I met, but against the community as a whole.  Priuses and electric cars and bicycles everywhere, and every jogger had an attractive dog.  I don't think I saw an ugly dog the whole time I was there :D  There was also a vague evil presence I could sort of feel... but that might have been me.

Nah just took your Geography lesson from Mr. 57 States.

So how you pardon something that most normal people won't eat anyway?
There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

He didn't really pardon it anyways, as it was sent on to a foodbank to be used.  I really feel sorry for the poor soul that gets that at the food bank.

Just picture somebody truly down on their luck, at their last wit's edge...struggling to decide if life is worth living or not...then they get a tofurkey for Thanksgiving...yeah that poor bastard is jumping off the next bridge he comes across.
