R.I.P. Scout26
Hawkmoon - Never underestimate another person's capacity for stupidity. Any time you think someone can't possibly be that dumb ... they'll prove you wrong.
Viking - The problem with the modern world is that there aren't really any predators eating stupid people.
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

So McCoy, Scotty and now Spock. I wonder who will be the next to go? I think Shatner is the oldest of the remaining crew.
Geez, and Shatner has to be up to about 350lbs now too...Nemoy lived long and prospered. R.I.P.
Not by much. He's only got 9 months and change on Uhura. After a little digging, looks like Yeoman Rand (Grace Lee Whitney) is actually a little over a year older than Kirk.
He died from COPD. I take it he was a smoker (as was I) and paid the price. Although at 83 years old, I think I could live with that.RIP Mr Spock.
I thought all the Red Shirts would be gone by now.
Nimoy is said to have remarked that he quit smoking thirty years ago and it wasn't enough. Back in the 50s & 60s smoking was very popular. If you watch old TV shows you'll see it; Joe Friday smoked in the DRAGNET series and many other contemporaries, and Tobacco Companies were big time sponsors of a lot of TV series.
