I think Angel Eyes needs a time out.

  • I spent a week in that town one night....
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

I'd like to imagine that somewhere in the wasteland some military base managed to mostly survive and set up a nice little fortress from which they scour the surrounding area of zombies, bandits, and warlords.

But that story wouldn't have enough "drama!" to keep people watching.

TWD is more like watching someone bring their tabletop zombie/post-apoc RPG campaign to life with us getting to watch all the bad decisions that player characters make session after session after session.

Yea.....WHY  have a inventory list?  What purpose does it serve.....other than, of course, Negan's?

Oh....anyone have a tally of the number of stupid things our intrepid survivors (I use the term loosely) have done to date? >:D

Though infuriatingly frustrating to sit through, this episode did what it had to do to forward the plot (minus the Kingdom, curiously absent this time, must be Second Unit filming): foment the seeds of discontent within Alexandria.  I'm pleased that a few characters were never happy with the centralized control of Alexandria's weapons, though the one stash and one scavenged pistol seem like too few for even Rick's crew.  Once again our band of zeroes learn nothing from past mistakes (or history).

And why Michonne is still with Rick after this is thoroughly beyond me.

Sometimes I think the old Rick is still inside, plotting and scheming Negan's demise and his obsequious behavior is just a front.  Other times I believe he's completely given up.  It's damn hard to tell.
It is a bit of a consolation to know that in the APS world, Negan would have become worm chow long ago.

Nobody gets a haircut, but they can do dreadlocks, and Maggie can walk around in designer skinny jeans, which are always a good choice in a zombie apocalypse.

Looks like I'm not the only one who has been "meh" about this season:

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2016/11/23/walking-dead-ratings-lowest-theyve-ever-been.html

I do have to say that the "coming this season" previews after last week's episode had some highlights that looked to be good. Hopefully the 20 seconds of highlights weren't all the best parts of the remaining episodes.

1hr 10min episode that could have been done in 10 minutes. How much time do you need at the lesbian colony outside of a porn movie?

I've really been down on this season. On the bright side, there are only two episodes left before the mid-season break, so only one more filler episode before the cliffhanger.

I was wondering if the "amazon" colony is going to be the genesis of the Whisperers.

I'll confess I've been DVRing the show and kind of half-watching it while surfing the web, reading, etc.  This season isn't holding my attention.
