I'm watching an anime series right now that was made to be a serious scary/spooky series but was a total flop in the original Japanese version and when they went to dub it to English, they were allowed to "do whatever they wanted as long as the dialog fit the animation" and it came out as a hilarious comedy series! A bit raunchy but good for more than a few giggles, it has become an anime cult classic, "Ghost Stories," the English Dub.

My mind must be in the gutter as I read the thread title as, "The APS adult classic film thread."

If that's the case, then let's go Godwin early !!!

“Fear of death increases in exact proportion to increase in wealth,” Hemingway once said. Today, many of us have become rich in the currency of cowardice. We have so many things and so few experiences. We are desperate to live as long as possible, not as large as possible. We are so afraid to say goodbye to the world that we never say hello.

I NEED to see that movie.

It's a real movie.  At first, I thought it was a fake movie trailer from "UHF"  (google "Gandhi II")

The Prequels to Army of Darkness were pretty good/bad/horrible/hilarious

Evil Dead & Evil Dead 2.

Short version.  Evil Dead was a low (LOW) budget horror flick.   Came out so bad it was almost comedic.   So producers said, "hrm....." and turned the suck up to 11, cranked out a totally make fun of itself remake called (wait for it) Evil Dead 2.

Battle Beyond the Stars.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Yes, I have a thing for Sandra Bullock.

I know what you mean. It was the '90s. I was young and impressionable. She was cute, and approachable.

The wife and I are inaugurating a new St. Patrick's Day tradition, involving the Eddie Griffin film Irish Jam, and Irish Jam bars. The bars, sadly, do not contain jam, but do contain Chocolate Lucky Charms and marshmallow.

Erin Goes Black, and doesn't Go Back.

I can't think of a less authentic way to celebrate my Celtic heritage.
