Y'all ain't a-gonna believe this h'yar sheet ...

Chicago (where else?):

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-cook-county-judge-mentally-unfit-memory-loss-20161202-story.html

A judge has a court clerk put on the robes and hear cases. Judge gets removed from the bench but continues to earn $190,000 per year salary. Clerk has law license revoked, runs for judge, wins election, but is not allowed to take the seat ... which will remain vacant. It's like something out of Alice in Wonderland.

Cook County can be pretty third world at times.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Yep.  It's Chicago...

However, since the ILSC ruled that should could not take the judgeship BEFORE the election, then the write-in candidate should be declared the winner and fill the seat.

Just my $.02

Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
