Also Thursday, President Obama told CBS that he had seen the video, but that the 'despicable' actions seen in the footage did not signal a worsening of US race relations.

The sad truth is that he's probably right ... this probably does not represent a worsening of US race relations. Why? Because Obama has spent eight years doing everything in his presidential power to make race relations in the US worse, so things are now so bad that this despicable episode really doesn't indicate a "worsening" -- it just confirms how bad things are.
