I think so. I think there's a ton of great music being made these days. I still listen to Baroque about half the time, though.

Of course you would.  You probably baroque it too...
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

What would ever possess you to put any faith in or believe anything written in Rolling Stone?

It's obviously the anti-soviet propaganda.

....

Looks like a pretty good playlist to me.

The reasons on that list are odd.

B 52's get "punk, violence" but not "sex" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SOryJvTAGs (they are also not punk. The are new wave)

Alice Cooper should also be able to score "sex", "sadism" and mysticism and probably a few other things as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NO2cHJmDkBg&list=PLcRSGRtf6ehm2AfRbcefbpzcsDaEL14Ef&index=6

Although, I approve of the reason they say the Ramones are bad. The Ramones *are* Punk. They need no other definition.  =D

I want to hunt down whoever made this list and play them stuff to get their opinions. Like, what reason would this get: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYDfwUJzYQg

  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

77. Willie Nelson (AYFKM?)
75. Joni Mitchell (someone's doing acid...)

Well, I've been playing guitar ( badly ) since 1986 and allow me, I saw Willie and Johnny Cash together, it was crystal clear that Willie had way, way more talented guitar skills - Johnny had the look and voice though.

Joni practically invented her own style and tuning, an incredible accomplishment.

Van Halen is a darned good guitarist - but without Roth as the throat - its just not as good.
Two of them together really rock and deserve top rate status.
The real question is why Rappers are in the rock hall of fame.

Julio Iglesias for Neofascism! I though he was just a singer of songs. Who knew he had so much political power!

Two more great guitarists.  Audley Freed, and this guy, Chris Starr of Blackberry Smoke.

Not sure why you're asking. Here's a partial list of current music I've been enjoying in the past few years. I guess they don't all count as pop stars. Or maybe they do.  ???

The Black Keys
The White Stripes
Kings of Convenience
Chinese Man
Camera Obscura
Belle & Sebastian
The Be Good Tanyas
Parov Stelar
Neko Case
I don't know if Mazzy Star or Cracker still count - they're not all that current.
The Decembrists
She & Him
Caravan Palace
Saint Motel
alt-J
The Shins
Broken Bells
Gramatik
Aceyalone
Of Monsters and Men
The Avalanches
Wax Tailor
Jake Bugg
Kate Nash
Hello Saferide
Hello Seahorse!
y muchos mas

I'm not sure if it's a good ting or a bad thing that I have never heard of a single one of his list.
Being that it is Fistful's list I lean toward "a good thing". =D
