Obviously your time of the month. Or are you permanently that much of a bitch?

Your turn. :D

Disagree. As I noted, I normally end up with a dozen or more quoted reply windows open. It's a pain.

May I quote you on that?

I don't know if it's connected to the quote button, but I have noticed that the porn links are back.

I bet that just recently started. Yesterday and today, when navigating the site, I intermittently will see a very short hesitation, then the flash of a blank page, then whatever APS page I was navigating to. That was happening the last time the porn invaded.

Yep, right up at the top of the page source on every page:

Code: [Select]
<div style="display:none">
<a href="http://www.escortgalaxy.net/" title="kartal escort">kartal escort</a>
<a href="http://www.nettporno.com/" title="porno">porno</a>
</div>

Yep. Server got compromised again.   [popcorn]

Looks like being lazy paid off again. I'll clean up the actual injections and schedule the scrub whenever I get the all clear. This is why I avoid Wordpress these days. It's usually WP plugins that cause the problem.

Rev, what exactly do these things do when they pop up in the html?

Just links to pr0n sites.

Code: [Select]
<div style="display:none">
<a href="http://www.escortgalaxy.net/" title="kartal escort">kartal escort</a>
<a href="http://www.nettporno.com/" title="porno">porno</a>
</div>

Hidden links depending on your browser. Div is just a section, with the display:none supposed to hide the content. A is a hyperlink, with href being the location of the link.

There's some other parts, but generally it's just a standard payload drop. The hacker either owns the site or gets paid to direct traffic to the site. Or the sites serve up malware. Or they want to bring their sites up in popularity.

The 'good news' is we're not being targeted. Oleg's other sites are. We're just collateral damage. I'd offer to set up a $10/month VM just for APS, but not sure how well Oleg would take that after the Derek Heresy.

Ah, okay. Sounds like they're just trying to raise hits then. Or else my protection is actually working properly and I'm just not seeing any of the porn they're displaying.  :laugh:

We should ask him. I'd chip in a year's coverage right this second.

Na, you just use a browser that follows HTML. Every browser made so far only kinda sorta follows HTML. MSIE was the worst, but all have quirks.

It's just a link, no pictures or whatnot. You click on them all the time.  ;)
