MSNBC hostess: we should control your thoughts

Quote
"Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job."

Is she Trump's 2020 campaign manager?

Also, this bit:

Quote
Scarborough also accused Trump's base of having a "blind spot" on the issue of illegal immigration.

"We have an economy, let’s face it, we have an economy that is built on illegal immigration," Scarborough said. "We have an economy that is built on that. That is why I say why don’t you just legalize it?"

Please clap.

Freudian slip, perhaps?

I remember hearing a post-retirement radio interview with one of the "old school" TV reporters - I THINK it was David Brinkley, but I couldn't swear to it.

He said that the reason TV reporters don't cover stories impartially is because they really, really think it's their job to guide the audience to the RIGHT conclusions, and sometimes persuasive arguments from the WRONG side might confuse the audience, or even make them form WRONG opinions.

And he said they're not conspiring to do this - they really, really think THEY are the custodians of the truth, and it's their responsibility to make sure the public sees the light as they do.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it. - Mark Twain

When reporters are accidentally a little too honest on the air.
"Rev, your picture is in my King James Bible, where Paul talks about "inventors of evil."  Yes, I know you'll take that as a compliment."  - Fistful, possibly highest compliment I've ever received.

Her Daddy was Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

I think we ought to register, regulate, and license reporters. After all, no right is absolute.

I think we ought to register, regulate, and license reporters.

And require that they be stored in a secure, cool, dark, soundproof place when not in legitimate use.

Just keep in mind who Brzezinski's father was.
This.
"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance, and a people who mean to be their own governors, must arm themselves with the power knowledge gives. A popular government without popular information or the means of acquiring it, is but a prologue to a farce or a tragedy or perhaps both"
