Well, I like to be thorough, too.

A story without peripheral coloration and ancillary nuances isn't a story at all.  It's just a report.

Terry, whose mother used to call him "Terrance," but it was usually more like "Terr-ANCE!," like that, back when they called New York New Amsterdam, and a "kill" was a small inlet of water, in the old Dutch manner, so we had places named "Peekskill" and the like, and a "neck" was a small peninsula, so we had places called "Throggs Neck," but I don't know who or what a "Throgg" was, and they didn't use possessive apostrophes, in the Germanic manner, so it was just Throggs Neck instead of Throgg's Neck...230RN.

Would gun collecting and shooting be considered too exciting?  Maybe black powder only or something like a ring bayonet collection.

Linked on that same page as the Dull Men's Club was another interesting article.  I had seen the acronym 'MGTOW' elsewhere but did not know what it meant.

You forgot the Tappan Zee.

That was in the ellipsis: "Neck...230RN"
............................................^  (That one, right there.)

It was boring enough as is.  Was.  I have cutted a lot out.  (I have trouble with making tenses agree.)

Didn't read the whole thing, but they guy goes off the deep end about man caves. Man caves are there because we want a place to be left alone; not because we're begging our wives for permission for anything. Or if you are, maybe you should be one of the "MGTOW."

I honest to gosh thought it was something to do with an anti-tank missile (TOW).
