The ruling allows the owners of some of Remington's most popular firearms — including the iconic Model 700 rifle — to have their triggers replaced free of charge.

The settlement covers Remington's Model 700, as well as these other firearms: Seven, Sportsman 78, 673, 710, 715, 770, 600, 660, 721, 722 and 725 rifles, and the XP-100 bolt-action pistol.

Under the settlement, most of these guns will be retrofitted with a new trigger mechanism free of charge. However, some models — specifically the 600, 660, 721, 722, 725 and XP-100 — are considered too old to be retrofitted, so Remington is offering owners of those guns a product voucher worth between $10 and $12.50.

The cost to Remington appears to be fairly modest, so they must be happy to put this behind them.

Considering that maybe 10% of the people who own them might send them back for a trigger replacement -- Remington is getting off light.

I wouldn't let anyone touch the trigger on my 722 in .222 even if they were doing those.

I need to fix the safety on the 721 my FIL gave me.  Not sure if I want to do anything about the trigger though.

At one time you could, but that was back in the 1970s or early 1980s.

Only one I could find.

SPECS: Housing - Aluminum billet, matte black. Trigger Shoe/Safety Lever – Steel, matte blued finish or matte nickel plated. Heat-treated steel internals and polished sear/trigger surfaces. Serrated .375” wide shoe. Includes instructions. Fits 700, 721, and 722, including models with ISS bolt lock. Does not lock the bolt closed, even on older model rifles with original safeties that locked the bolt.

The rifle isn't realistically worth much more than that.

I'm not going to sink $150 into it just to shoot it once every couple of years.

I need to fix the safety on the 721 my FIL gave me.  Not sure if I want to do anything about the trigger though. 

I sent mine into Remington after it went off when I was closing the bolt. This was a decade ago and they replaced the trigger. I see they aren't doing that for this model anymore.
