There are five things, above all else, that make life worth living: a good relationship with God, a good woman, good health, good friends, and a good cigar.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.  One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Only the dead have seen the end of war!

Didn't we use one of those during some op in the Middle East, and British forces nearby reported a nuclear detonation?

I think the only place we ever dropped a live one was in Florida during testing.

So what happened to those anti-bridge bombs used in Europe during WW 2? The ones with super-heavy and dense tips that would penetrate deep into the ground and thus send the shockwave of the explosion into the foundation of the bridge causing the span to fall.

Wouldn't those collapse caves just as well?

We've been working on those too.

There's a ground penetrating version of the MOAB that's... I dunno, about half or less of the the explosive payload, but the whole bomb is still about the same size. It's just got a heavy armored body to punch through several meters of solid rock before it detonates.
I promise not to duck.

That one is really cool. The first warhead detonates, blows a hole in the mountain, the next warhead detonates further down, then the third, etc. If that one doesn't go down far enough to get the enemy (probably Iran's centrifuges), then they just drop another on the same hole.

I remember in PG1 we needed some bunker busters but nobody had any so we (ever resourceful) turned 8 inch artillery barrels GBU-28 into penetrators and they actually worked quite well. After that the need for penetrators was awakened once again and they have built some pretty neat things. :)

They had one of those on display out at the Air Force museum at Wright Pat after Gulf War I with testing videos. Apparently they would penetrate something like 75 feet of solid rock before going all splody.

It's a lot more important for a message to be received than for it to be sent.

Given the distinct lack of success of messaging to Afghanistan from pretty much everyone ever, I have a lot of doubt this will make any meaningful difference in anything.

Blowing *expletive deleted*it up looks cool, though.
Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

From what I gather, killing people and breaking things is about all their respond to.  This is a start.

My pleasure. If you really want to mess with them, say it was 14.88 MAGA-tons.
