Medals for Venezuelan Soldiers are Toilet Paper
« on: July 25, 2017, 12:14:13 AM »
Literally. Do a good job soldiering in Venezuela? Here, have a roll of toilet paper.

Well, we always say around here that TP is the thing to hoard as currency for SHTF.

"Bernie Sanders takes notes"  That is the best and only response to this.

I didn't know that Maduro called Sanders his "revolutionary friend." It's chilling to think of how many admirers Bernie has in our country.

It's even more chilling to think how many people apologize the Venezuelan fiasco away.

I still get a big old giggly grin when I read this...

https://fightback.org.nz/spark-archive/venezuela/venezuela-the-first-socialist-revolution-of-the-21st-century/

This is perhaps the funniest line in the whole long Viva La Revolucion! article...

"Chávez’s move towards the creation of a single party of the revolutionary left is fundamentally about empowering the grassroots and striking a blow against the bureaucrats and pro-capitalist politicians who threaten to strangle the revolution."

And now the single party of the revolutionary left is robbing the nation blind and repressing the hell out of the people, FAR more than the capitalist right did.

I wonder what the true believers there are thinking now? I bet I can guess...

GODDAMNED CAPITALIST USA! THEY UNDERCUT THE GLORIOUS BOLIVAR REVOLUTION AND THE PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING WHILE THE MADURO GOVERNMENT TRIES TO HELP THEM!

Which shows it isn't the repression and theft they care about.  As long as the right people are doing it, they are fine with theft and repression.

I can't help but think that the soldiers probably really appreciate this award, given the current shortages.
