Mx Manning Denied Entry into Canada
« on: September 25, 2017, 12:06:10 PM »
Mx Manning seems baffled as to why "better than the USA" Canada doesn't want Mx Manning. What the hell is the deal with all the emoticons? It's like what a 7 year old girl would do.

I don't understand, it isn't like he has been convicted of a DUI or something like that (I think they use that to keep the Native Americans out ;)  ). What's a little treason to Canada when a former POTUS of the US didn't seem to think it was a major issue. :(

And that's the thread ladies and gentlemen, be sure to tip your waiters and the hat check girl on your way out....

I like how it describes itself as a security expert.

As of denial into Canada, maybe that is the reason all these others that said they would go haven't.  Their records won't let them.

Yeah, where does that come from? During the Harvard debacle, Harvard had Mx listed a global intelligence and security expert as well.

Most common reason for denial of entry into Canada is DUI.

No expert, but Canada denies entry to everybody convicted of an offense equivalent to one of their felonies.  For them, all DUI convictions are felonies.  Meanwhile, with no draft, a convicted draft dodger would be let right in because draft dodging a non-existent draft isn't a crime there.

There is a way to petition to be allowed in, submitting that the crime is old, you've served your sentence and you've reformed.  It pretty much requires a lawyer familiar with the process and costs several hundred dollars for a DUI.

Point of all this?  Manning should have realized that by reading the rules at all, and the chances of a waiver are hell no.

Canada's immigration officers did their job by the book.

Manning has always shown mental instability and likely thought that the commuting of the sentence to being fully equivalent to a pardon. It's not. Actions do have consequences, even if Manning wanted both worlds. To be a 'rebel' and at the same time pay no price for it.

It's not shocking that any accountability would be mystifying. And that yes, rules do apply.
