Meh. The book (1900, or The Last President) is about William Jennings Bryan. (I Just read the first chapter+)

Populist wins and takes down the current elite. It's a common story. The only thing making it interesting is he chose the name "Baron Trump" for his earlier stories.

Life is full of weird coincidences. It's either that or that the Trump family is long pre-destined for this time and had heralds prophesying their reign. ALL HAIL TRUMP!
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

You've never seen the portraits of Trump from throughout History:

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

All of those are still a LOT better than the ones of Jesus, but with Obama's face superimposed.

It's on the internet so it must be true.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

I love how even his armor is surprised he won in this one.

When I teach the "Citizenship in the Nation" Merit Badge I use the official portraits for all the Executive Branch officials (VP and Cabinet Secretaries), except I use this one for President:

And this one for Mattis:

I'm still waiting for someone from "above" in Scouting to "give me a good talking to".  But, it would appear that I have not be "turned in" by any of the scouts yet, giving me hope for the future of this country...
