NFL payback!
« on: November 16, 2017, 09:56:31 PM »
I've recently seen several NFL ads back peddling refusal to end anthem protests. I don't buy it!

Here's real drag!

Subject: BUDWEISER MIGHT PULL NFL SPONSORSHIP

I JUST MADE THE CALL.  YOU KNOW MY RESPONSE---PULL THE COMMERCIAL--MAYBE SOMEONE WILL WAKE UP!!

NO JOKE...........PLEASE MAKE THE CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is quick and easy to do…..I just did takes less than 1 minute!

Let Bud know how you feel!!

Please vote or pass it on....

-------------------------

*Anheiser Busch is taking calls about whether it should pull their

sponsorship of NFL football. They are upset about the way certain NFL

players and teams want to show their lack of respect for our National

Anthem, our Flag, and our Country. Anheiser Busch employs 1100 veterans

who

are also being disrespected along with all other veterans living and dead.

These NFL players are uniformed, paid employees of the owners teams and

have no right to publicly express their personal political opinions on

company time. They can do whatever they want on their own time.*

*You know how big a sponsor Budweiser is. Their decision, based on this

public opinion, could make a tremendous impact on what the NFL does*

*I just called Budweiser’s special number* *1-800-342-5283** and when

they

answered touched **option 1 and gave my opinion **and it all took less

than

a minute. Whether or not you vote, please rush this email on to all

patriotic Americans and sports fans. Thank you. *

This was decided back in early October when AB said that, despite the hotline, they were KEEPING their sponsorship.

NFL?  What is that?   =)

I haven't watched a game in a month or two.  I haven't missed it.  We will see if I miss it after college football is over early next year and the Superbowl is coming around.  Of course, it helps that most of the players I would want to watch on the Texans are out for the year with injuries.

Let's not forget that Capernick opted out of the remainder of his contract.

From the story...

It's hard to imagine him not landing elsewhere.

It was imagined.

Hollywood keeps "reimagining" superheroes*, so why is it so difficult to accept that the NFL might reimagine Kaepernick? What's a stretch for me is his (or his lawyers') notion that there has to be some kind of a conspiracy not to hire him. Do they think all the NFL owners are idiots? The man made himself into a toxic property. I find it VERY easy to believe that each owner decided, all by himself, that he wanted no part of the idiot, with no help or conspiracy from the other owners. I think they're going to have a difficult time proving a conspiracy.

* Just one example: the Aquaman of current filmdom looks and acts nothing at all like the Aquaman in the comic books I bought when I was seven or eight years old. Aquaman was, among other things, blond.

Let's also not forge that his QB rating was highest during his second season and declined every year thereafter.  And he can't move and throw at the same time.   ;/
