Sounds like a Starbucks mom or somebody in Kirkland mistook a guy's umbrella for a rifle. As the comments inferred, good way to potentially end up getting shot nowadays.

This is in our local news right now, and I paid keen attention since it was at a local hospital.  My first thought would have been to wonder if it was a broadsword; you see a lot of people with these at the local Ren Fairs.  It sure as heck freaked out the hospital staff, and I would bet the guy did this intentionally.  Good thing he did not get Tazed or pepper sprayed.  He actually turned himself in when he noticed the media attention.
