The Media's Love of North Korea
« on: February 11, 2018, 02:01:54 PM »
Scanning through Twitchy, it seems as if the MSM is totally in love is Kim's sister and her merry band of coordinated cheerleaders.

ABC, NBC, CNN, Reuters.  All the while ignoring the fact that if they get so much as a one move wrong that Mom, Dad, Brothers, Sisters, and extended family will be killed in vile and gruesome ways and/or sent to camps.

I'm so glad I don't have TV.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Case in point, perhaps: https://www.yahoo.com/news/column-nk-cheerleaders-campy-little-creepy-too-105846772.html

The US News media appreciates their betters in the propaganda game.

I thought there still was a war on. Just "demilitarized."  Somehow.

The war is currently being fought by dueling PR departments.

" even if some of their songs have been modified so to not offend at the Olympics."
I wonder what this is referring too.
"so I ended up getting the above because I didn't want to make a whole production of sticking something between my knees and cranking. To me, the cranking on mine is pretty effortless, at least on the coarse setting. Maybe if someone has arthritis or something, it would be more difficult for them." - Ben

It's sadly funny (not ha ha funny) that the media is swooning over sis. She is literally the head of NK propoganda, and her whole job right now is to make NK look like the best place in the world to live. The US MSM is buying it hook, line, and sinker and making NK seem like the US and the US seem like NK. Are any foreign news agencies doing the same thing? I haven't seen.

Anyway, some thoughts from former Norks:

This is the most 2017 story of 2017.

Oh. Wait.

It's gonna be a long year.

You know, this kind of stuff makes it clear to me why the muslim countries think we are a bunch of easy marks, as well.

Because about half our country (and a larger proportion of the rest of the western world) IS.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Same old story.  If President Trump is against anything or anybody, most of the media will be for the anything or anybody.

Whatever Trump does or says is wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

Best story out of the Olympics:

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/02/14/kim-jong-un-impersonator-dances-with-north-korean-cheer-squad-before-being-dragged-out.html

Seems the Nork Cheer Squad didn't know if he was real or not.
