Alternative to Spotcrime?

Anyone use something like Spotcrime recently?  I'm looking at neighborhoods to stay out of in Johnson City, TN, having a hard time believing there is hardly any crime there.

Might see if they have a local news website that shows police and court activity.

City Data and Sperlings Best Places are a couple I've been using, though like you with Spotcrime, I'm not entirely sure on accuracy.
