NBA meets NRA

Sanity from Shaquille O'Neal:

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/shaquille-oneals-solution-for-safer-schools-is-more-cops-says-gun-ban-not-the-answer/

He's not in favor of banning guns, and he is in favor of putting more cops in schools.

O'Neal may not believe it's the right direction. For him, the guns aren't the problem. The wrong people carrying them are.

Would that mean more cops hanging around outside the building until the shooting is over?  I would hope not, but a shortage of cops doesn't appear to have been a problem.  For once, LEO's were not minutes away, but right there within position to respond in seconds.  It didn't matter.  The reason it didn't matter is not something the gun banners wish to talk about.

Another thought, there are or were a number of safeguards/barriers written into the law specifically to stop or prevent murderers from getting guns to kill people.  How many of those safeguards failed or were willfully bypassed to allow this tragedy to happen?  So why does everyone thinks adding more legal barriers will prevent the next one?

Because the gun-grabbers promised.
