What a pain in the neck
« on: June 27, 2018, 03:34:11 PM »
Wholly clap. Woke up about 0200 Tuesday morning with a crick in my neck. Shoulder was hurting and having trouble turning my head.
A little heat, some NSAIDs and I was doing some better. Tuesday evening went out to eat with some old friends.
As I climbed back in my jeep it got suddenly worse.
Home, more NSAIDs, some heat and tapped my aging stash of Flexiral.
Worse this morning, a lot worse.
Off to the urgent care.
Acute Torticollis. (And a little arthritis thrown in for good measure)
Muscle spasm has locked me up so tight the muscles have pulled the normal slight curve of the cervical straight. The pinched nerve is an added bonus.
At least I'm on vacation this week so I'm not missing work

'
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Samuel Adams
