Ever live in a Dingbat?
« on: September 03, 2018, 08:22:08 PM »
I grew up in L.A. and never knew they had a name for that kind of building.

Never lived in one but they were everywhere and I attended many parties, and delivered many a pizza to them, and had a girlfriend that lived in one.

It's the kind of thing that you just don't notice until someone points it out.

Sure, they're ugly but they use space efficiently. Nowadays they're being torn down to make room for higher density housing. Can't say I'm broken up about it though.  However, I do like the retro-chintz of the signage those give the L.A. area some of it's low-class charm.

And yes, I know this is a ridiculous post. And these are a few minutes you'll never get back.

I never lived in one, but I've dated a few.
