I almost took the day off and drove to charm city, if I could be sure that they wouldn't run out of money I have about 150 evil mags and an Erma .22. I would be rich. And have fresher mags within two days.

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

On a follow-up to this buyback, the Mayor claims a "rocket launcher" was turned in (and of course blames the NRA). I can't find any information on what this actually was. Because I'm betting it wasn't a real, working rocket launcher. I googled a half dozen news articles that either had stock photos or no photos, and just said that Balitmore PD was "tracing its origin", which could mean anything. I'm betting somebody made 500 clams on a $25 replica sold out of the back classifieds in Guns and Ammo.

I'm betting that the "rocket launcher" was a spent LAWS tube, which is perfectly legal to own.

And it's going to stay that way, because the NRA doesn't care about all the spent tube murder-death-kills that are occurring every 5 minutes in schools.

It was a spent AT-4.

Hee, hee.

The launcher and projectile are manufactured prepacked and issued as a single unit of ammunition, with the launcher discarded after a single use.

So, effectively, the po-po bought the large-scale equivalent of an empty cartridge casing.

Now I want an (empty) AT-4 to mount on the rifle rack in my pickup.  I want to see if this solves the tailgating problem.

I have an old junk .32 my grandfather gave me.  I've been thinking of taking it to a buy back to get rid of it.  Because of this thread, I did some research.  Turns out the gun is an Iver Johnson Young America .32, made around 1900.  Collectors will pay $200+ for one in good shape.  Thanks APS.  I was going to try and dump it for $50, and because of you guys, I know it's worth more than that. =D

I turned one in at one of Fr. Pflager's "buybacks" that had buried in mud and clay how many, many, many years... (It was basically a 1903 shaped piece of rust.)
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.
