Ron, Assad did send aid to terrorists attacking American soldiers in Iraq.

Still, I worry that what might replace him would be worse.
That last part is my thinking also.  I think it is a bit arrogant to think we will step in, oust Assad, and plant a new guy in power who will be better and actually keep power.  Obama seemed to be pushing for a Muslim Caliphate.
