This is only one example, I'm sure most of you have read others:

https://twitchy.com/samj-3930/2019/01/08/hes-lost-it-don-lemon-wants-trumps-speech-delayed-for-editing-and-the-look-on-chris-cuomos-face-is-priceless-watch/

Much of the MSM wants to time delay the Presidential address to allow "editing" and "fact checking" (some were even talking about refusing to air it). That's so dangerous I don't even know where to begin. The news media wants to tell us the parts of a presidential address that we need to know, somehow for our own good.  I don't care if it's Trump or Obama or whoever - I want to hear it from the horse's mouth and make up my own damn mind.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but to me, this should be on the front page of every media source and America should be outraged. Except of course it's the media who wants to do it, and since they control what goes on their front page...

I have no faith in the MSM left,  NONE WHAT SO EVER.  In fact,  were it not so melodramatic-sounding,  I'd go so far as to claim many have gone over to pure evil.
It's true that Trump is no saint,  and has some problems in the "TO TELL THE TRUTH" dept., but these media clowns who so deplore Trump lapped up Obama's lies like they were honey.
The MSM is no longer the "guardians who will speak truth to power,"  they're nothing more than a fifth column for either some evil cabal, the deep state, or some kind of democratic socialist illuminati.

The media (and many Americans) may despise Trump as a person and political leader, but they love him as a news story.
It is a bizarre and disgusting kind of symbiotic relationship.

By his 2nd term Obama couldn't even compete with The Big Bang Theory!  cheesy
He was so boring that networks opted to ignore him and show their regular prime-time lineup.
The White House is exasperated with the major broadcast networks Ś ABC, CBS and NBC Ś for skipping out on President Barack Obamaĺs Thursday prime-time address on his executive actions on immigration.

on Wednesday morning, with plans underway for a Thursday night address on Obamaĺs plans to issue executive actions on some of the most sweeping immigration reform in decades, those feelers came back with a negative report. None of the major networks wanted to take time away from their prime-time programming for Obamaĺs 8 p.m. speech.

Yup.  They gave him hundreds of millions of dollars of free time when he was in the primary, and made the primary all about HIM.  Then they went insane when he actually became president.

The radio today reported that Trump gave a speech "filled with inaccuracies".

Of course, they didn't detail any of them. Similarly, despite Obama giving speeches filled with lies, I never ONCE heard his speeches characterized as "filled with inaccuracies". (Only months later, after the lies were obvious would any member of the press or "fact checkers" deign to admit that the Lightbringer lied.)

The blatant propaganda is getting hard to take.

The AP (yes, the AP), did a piece stating that the gov shutdown is the fault of both sides. The SJWs went wacko.

Is there anyone who doesn't think that if the dems offer half of what Trump is asking that he'll take it? It's fine if the dems want to hold their line in the sand - I wish the Rs would do that more often. But they have to take 50% responsibility for the shutdown.

Gov paychecks are a couple of days out.  I guess we'll see if somebody blinks.

Yes.
Don't get me wrong, I REALLY enjoy watching rage reacts from people disconnected from reality.

In reality this is no different from the shutdowns during the Obama years. Obama wanted money for something and the Republicans didnĺt want to give it to him. Same thing here except the parties are reversed. During the Obama years it was always the fault of Congress for the shutdowns never Obama. At least the AP is sort of finally getting it sort of right ...

If Trump gets 50% of what he is asking for, that will be the greatest Republican negotiating victory in 30 years.   grin     They usually knuckle under during the first week of a shut down.

I recall a question last or or maybe during the '16 election:  Does the Democrat Party own the media or does the media own the Democrat Party?

I don't know if that is even the right question.  I just figure most of Big Media is owned by the same billionaires that probably fund the Democrat Party so it amounts to the same thing.

It's not who owns the MSM, it's the employees that are mostly democrats.  Overwhelmingly democrat.  Because were are all the MSM newspapers and Broadcasters located ??

New York, DC, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago...All Democrat/liberal strongholds.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.

Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
