It's GQ so I expected a panic-ridden hit piece but was pleasantly surprised.

Not one jab at gun owners or ownership at all. Very refreshing from a mass media outlet.

I've hinted at it before, and I'll hint at it again...  I think some honest-to-Gawd reality may be slowly soaking through the porous brains of the Lefties.

At least some of them.

Think about the last couple incidents.  In Florida, armed police were real close, but didn't attempt to go in and stop the shooter.  In Santa Fe, TX, the police rushed and attacked the shooter quickly and one got killed.  In both cases, multiple students still got killed.  The only group of people who would be nearby just about any time are teachers.

At some point, that information has to sink in that calling 911 isn't the only answer or the best answer.

That was a good article. I am going to circulate it amongst my wife's teacher colleagues.

At this point I'm reminded of Jeff Cooper's response to the qestion as to whether he believed violence begat violence.

"One bleeding-heart type asked me in a recent interview if I did not agree that 'violence begets violence.' I told him that it is my earnest endeavor to see that it does. I would like very much to ensure — and in some cases I have — that any man who offers violence to his fellow citizen begets a whole lot more in return than he can enjoy."
