Why new apartment buildings look the same

With the people we have here in the trades, architecture and firefighting, I thought this article would be of interest.  These apartment buildings are very very common in the Seattle area, and we had a large, partially-constructed unit go up in flames a couple years ago in Lynnwood: https://komonews.com/news/local/crews-battling-3-alarm-fire-in-lynnwood .  The County and State Fire Marshal and the BATF were never able to determine a cause, although they did rule out foul play.

The ones up here usually seem to end up covered in some sort of stucco product or fiber-cement boards, and I don't know if that is due to cost, rain resistance or fire resistance.

You are one lousy risk manager.
