http://www.armedpolitesociety.com/index.php?topic=47539.0  Hearing loss data for 2015

MNGOC is hosting a large rally this Saturday the 23rd inside the State Capitol. https://www.facebook.com/events/179598359658201/

There will also be a hearing on a gun control bill Wednesday. The hearing will be held at:
Valley View Middle School in Edina, MN.
6750 Valley View Rd, Edina, MN 55439
A location picked to screw over the pro gun crowd. They waited until today to tell us about it.

Edit: After much protesting and confusion they cancelled the plan to hold the hearing at the school. A new location will be picked.
HF 8 (Universal Gun Registration) and HF 9 (Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders)

As an update they picked a different school with the same result. The school backed out after seeing the hornets nest they stirred up.

The new location is room 120 at the Capitol.  The hearings start at 7:00 PM, but plan on arriving early for seats and preparation.

I will be live blogging on the Caucus Facebook page.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wttvatWVqWM&feature=youtu.be Reverend Tim Christopher practically lit the room on fire with his speech. It is now going national and being picked up by a lot of people. Basically gun control does not help poor black communities.

I put the video on the Member Feed at Ricochet.com. It's received enough likes that it will probably be moved to the public side sometime today. I hope that helps the video get out to a few more people.

The videos have over a million views and Tim Christopher was on Fox and Friends this morning.

If the local anti gun group keeps changing its rules and procedures to keep you personally out of their meetings and fails and so resorts to calling you out in front of everyone... you just might be a gun nut.

This is related to why I haven't been live blogging as much as before. Now I help run the MN Gun Owners Caucus group and infiltrate our opponents groups. After a few years they have caught on to me though.

Tim Christopher keeps getting more attention and has joined the African American Heritage Gun Club as one of their leaders.

The anti gun bills will die in the Senate. The House Floor debate should be pretty good.

The time has been moved to 6:30PM.

Copied from an email. The Senate will kill anything on arrival.

THURSDAY WILL BRING A NEW GUN CONTROL HEARING TO THE HOUSE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING

It appears that on Thursday, the Minnesota House Public Safety Committee will make an attempt to sneak in gun control provisions into two separate omnibus public safety bills.

Briefly, the two bills that are being pushed by the anti-gun MN House DFL are:

HF8 - the Universal Gun Registration or "Universal Background Check" bill, requiring you to get a Permit to Purchase for any firearms purchase or transfer from anyone - or do the transaction at a dealer. It raises the age to purchase a firearm to 21.

This goes WAY BEYOND any other previously proposed "Universal Background Check" legislation.

HF9 - the Red Flag Gun Confiscation Bill - individuals can get a court order to seize your firearms - often without you even knowing that a hearing has been held to discuss you and your firearms.
On Thursday, here's what we believe they will attempt to do:

First, anti-gun DFL members of the House Public Safety Committee will attempt to amend some version of HF8 and HF9 into the massive House Public Safety Omnibus Policy Bill. This bill is HF 2792.

Second, Chair Mariani will introduce HF 2711, which is the Hosue Public Safety Omnibus Finance Bill. This bill is the budget bill for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and related agencies that touch public safety. This bill has the original, unamended versions of HF8 and HF9 buried inside of the budget bill.
This will give the House DFL two separate Omnibus bills that we must track and try to keep gun control out of as they move towards the House floor in the coming weeks. And remember - with their majority, they can pass whatever they want -- but we must try and stop these bills now if we can.

THE HEARING DETAILS FOR THURSDAY ARE:

WHEN:     Thursday, April 4th, 2019, 12:45 PM - 2:00 PM.  If needed, the hearing will reconvene at 6:00 PM.
WHERE:   State Capitol, Room 120
If you can make it, we will need you there!

We'll have more specific actions for you to take in the very near future. In the meantime, block the date and time and make plans to be there if you can.

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE TODAY

Even if you've already done so, visit our action center and send a message to your Representative and Senator on these two issues.

We're significantly outspent by the anti-gun groups in this state. Protect Minnesota raises hundreds of thousands of dollars a year - Michael Bloomberg's groups have millions of dollars in lobbying, "grassroots" support, and more.

Anything that you can give to help us in this fight will help.  Some have given $1000 and $500 - others have contributed $250, $100, or even $50 or $25. All donations help us take the fight to the anti-gunners.

If anyone was planning on coming today the time was very recently changed to 6:30pm.
