The AP reports that Beto has entered "entered an intentional 'quiet period' to build out campaign infrastructure, according to an adviser who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the campaign’s strategy." Part of this strategy is what he calls the introduction of "Beto 2.0."

Sounds like the media found other darlings to back and without pumped up publicity from them, he has nothing to stand on.

Bullock seems pretty sane compared to the rest of the field.

Then again, so does my dog.

Wait, what?! So people like Donald Trump keep getting elected? He's the norm?  :O  'Cause you people spent the last 4 years telling me he's an unprecedented threat to our democracy, and we've never seen an evil dictator as dictatorially evil and racist as he.

I liked how he said "You ..." while pointing at himself.

Considering that the Republicans control the Senate 30:20 and the House 58:42, it's hardly surprising that he can't point to anything that he has accomplished. He can't admit it, but anything accomplished during his term of office was accomplished by the legislature, and his greatest contribution was not issuing a veto.

If the president can be blamed for all the problems, then he can be credited for the solutions.

I don't think it is nearly that simple.  A President could easily be in a position to screw things up and not in a position to make things better.  I think most economic situations are like that, where intervention by a President could make things a whole lot worse but the only path to improvement is through lack of interference.  That inaction could be due to conscious choice, indecision, or political standoff with other branches and many of those options could not be credited to the chief executive.

I agree with you, but that is not how presidents (all of them) view themselves, nor how the media reports on presidents.  It seems to me that most people view the president as the boss who gets sole credit or blame for everything.

So both Harris and Warren are refusing to do the Fox News town hall. As a comment I read said, "If you're too scared to handle a Fox News audience, you're probably not up for running a country."

Add Bill de Blasio to the clown car:

https://www.businessinsider.com/new-york-city-mayor-bill-de-blasio-running-for-president-2019-5

Might be a tad premature; supposedly he will announce on the 16th.

Clown car?  Clown train at this point.

Add Bill de Blasio to the clown car:

And his opening message is "wealth redistribution".

So the main talking points of these clowns so far:

Wealth redistribution
Mandatory gun confiscation
The government as your bank
The Joos!
Reparations
We have 12 years to live
I lost my turtle

What have I missed?
