So I Guess Typhus is a Thing Again
« on: May 21, 2019, 08:05:25 PM »
It's breaking out in Los Angeles. The first thing I thought of from the images was the early first season of Fear the Walking Dead (which for those not familiar, started in LA).

CDC does state there are less than 20k cases of typhoid fever every year, so it's not really a thing again.

Plague, typhus epidemic.... Whatever it takes.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

What do you call a place that has third world diseases?
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

That pile of trash in the photo makes me think of all the people crossing our borders illegally. A little hard labor (paid in room and board) might be a great way for them to earn their fare to Canada or Australia, or whatever country would take them.

San Francisco is going to have to step up it's game and bring back cholera if it wants to stay on top as California's most disgusting city.

Pretty soon NOT having typhus is going to be a sign of white privilege and inherently racist...

Clean water, basic sanitation = white privilege.

With the problems there, it is only a matter of time.
