  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

"On the third day, he heard people shouting his name. He yelled back, but they couldn't hear him with the echo of the mountains. Eventually, the voices quieted and no one responded."

Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

Always carry the 10 essentials when wilderness hiking.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

He should have fired off a round or two.

He should have fired off a round or two.

I understand that three shots (or three of anything) constitutes an emergency signal.

This, assuming one is permitted to carry in whatever wilderness one is in and has enough ammo.  And other hunters can bag game with less than three shots. =D

Based on a rudimentary google, the area he was in is only about 4 miles wide and 12 miles long. The ridges run longways, west to east. All he had to do was run perpendicular to the ridges for a maximum of 4 miles as the crow flies.

This dude had no business being in the woods.
