The left never wants to own its own lies and mistakes. Instead of trying to find ways to point out they are doing better now or something, they always end up trying to hide the truth or deflect blame. I wouldn't be surprised to see them claim this was uncovering fraud in among "climate deniers" in the future or that all the fraudsters moved to the "climate denier" side.
