His son is going to register for the board soon if not already.  They were discussing Scout26jr for a handle. I'm sure the mods will make sure he gets the proper welcome and access.

The miracle already happened; the past 10 years have been a miracle, and it's allowed David to guide Robert into the fine young man he is instead of whatever his ex would have turned him into.  Scout, if you're reading this, you should be proud of what you've accomplished.  I hope your last days are comfortable and peaceful, and I'm proud to have known you.  (I'm crying now, dammit)

Talked to David just now.  He had a few moments of coherence but but mostly he was pretty out of it.  He said to give his love to you all.  Keep praying for him.

Damn. I just texted him but didn’t call because I figured they were keeping him pretty doped up. *expletive deleted*it, just a few days ago we were hoping he was going to be out of the hospital in a couple weeks. He’s a hell of a good man who got dealt a crap hand especially lately

At this point, he is likely getting regular doses of liquid morphine via dropper into his mouth to keep him comfortable.  He may not be conscious enough to interact with anyone.
