Disney's Togo
« on: February 15, 2020, 05:51:08 PM »
I've always been a Togo fan and loathed the fact that Kaasen and Balto got all the credit. I was wary when I saw that Disney had made a movie.

I just watched it and it is now my favorite dog movie ever. I think my only fault is the husky playing Balto isn't as coarse as the real Balto. Defoe is magnificent and the story has never been matched in terms of man and dog have accomplished together.

If you were lucky enough to know a great one, they never really leave. They stay with you as long as you live. Harnessed to your heart, giving their all.

If you've got Disney + I highly recommend this one.

Spoiler:

Togo's doesn't die at the end. His death is discussed in hindsight, but since he died 4 years after the serum run it's not actually depicted. However, this doesn't guarantee you'll have a tear free experience, especially if you've ever had one of those dogs.  ;)
