Bulgogi
« on: March 23, 2020, 11:00:49 PM »
I bought some Trader Joes Bulgogi. I need to make it tomorrow or else throw it out. Do I just cook it in a pan like stir fry? Make it like a roast in the croc pot? Grill it like a hamburger?
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.

I thought they spelled it Bool Gogi.

I have nothing else, I guess follow the directions that came with it. All of my Bulldogi was native made when I visited Korea.

Make it any way you like. I'll be there in two shakes.

I would stirfry it and serve it with rice and some hot peppers.  (I assume it's already thinly sliced.  It might even be fully cooked; check the package)

When I get the trader Joe's one I just fry it in a carbon steel pan.

I hate you.  No place around here to get good bulgogi.

I'm surprised to hear the Trader Joes had it. Might be a difference between Idaho TJs and CA TJs. In CA, TJs is the number one prepper store.

I saw the thread title and thought this was the new name for boogaloo.

Should be able to get everything you need at the store.

Flank steak, even with all of the panic buying I have noticed the flank steak is still there, people don't know what to do with it. 1. Fajitas 2. Bulgogi  plus more I am sure. Some people use ribeye for bulgogi but flank steak cut across the grain is more better IMO.

Sesame oil and sesame seeds.

Soy Sauce.

Brown sugar.

Ginger.

Black Pepper.

Red Pepper Flakes.

It is pretty much a teriyaki except you put the sesame and peppers in it.

Easy Peasy.

I didn't know either. Thought maybe it was a portmanteau of "Boogaloo Luigi"...

I promise not to duck.

I just got the Korean BBQ sauce from a Asian Oriental Chinese International food store and used lean wild game meat.

Awesome, going to make an instant pot version with flank steak.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Yep.  I've got a bunch of it in the freezer.

Sounds good.  Just printed out a recipe, I'll pick up the makings in a couple days.
