I was wondering when this was going to happen.

Anyone surprised at this accusation?

Anyone?

Well maybe they should start an impeachment then

I'm just surprised it took the Dems so long to dream this up.  They must be distracted by something.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

This isn't the political left... yet.

This is the VERY left-leaning news media. The two people in the story are part of the MSNBC Madcow network.

Enemy of the people.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Free speech is a double edged sword.  Unfortunately a good deal of the populace of the USA isn't able to bring themselves to sample all sorts of it and then think about what they hear.  Some of the most heavily propagandized of the citizenry that I know personally, are many times the most "educated".  It's rather ironic.

It wouldn't surprise me if MANY people with holdings in mutual funds have a "financial stake" in drugs . . . and tobacco . . . and alcohol . . . without even knowing it.

But saying Trump's actions are influenced by his desire to profit from a drug that certainly went off-patent more than a half century ago is absurd.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

All of our media is absurd.

Regarding the first, I think a lot of these progressives would be shocked at how much "evil money" they have made in their retirement accounts.

Regarding the second, I think it's absurd because that kind of investing is completely out of Trump's wheelhouse. His focus is in completely unrelated areas.

Well, the NYT is now reporting that the Trump family trust has major investments in the company that owns the company that makes the name brand of it.
Expect the impeachment bandwagon to spoil back up...

Also, as pointed out above, these are usually blended funds where the shareholders have no idea what's what. I'm sure I own both Green Unicorn Farts Inc and Nuclear Waste LTD somewhere in the thousands of companies in my blended funds.

I actually kinda hope they try to impeach again. I'd like to make sure the house flips back, mostly for the Schadenfreude, as under normal circumstances, I like a split congress.

Regardless. It's the narrative now.  And it fits the mold of the spin and narrative for how Trump is framed by his detractors.

Interesting article on why Hydroxychloroquine with Azithromicin has a lot of potential as a treatment

That really is an interesting article.  I like the somewhat humorous way the author put things in layman's terms.

So here's what happens when someone actually promotes a fake, self-medication cure that will get people killed.

Quote
Hundreds of people have died and thousands more have been poisoned in Iran after drinking high-concentration alcohol in the mistaken belief it can cure coronavirus.

More than 600 people have died after attempting the cure and some 3,000 are now in hospital, Iranian judicial spokesman Gholam Hossein Esmaili said Tuesday.

The socialists are desperate.  Their primaries have been a huge joke and Trump is getting good PR with the daily updates.  The socialists see this as their last chance to try and create some traction.

Similar to school shootings, the virus has been a godsend for them.

The administration seems to have gotten it's *expletive deleted*it together.  They're already getting guidelines together for people going back to work and how to handle new cases.
Also, as many things as I'm not a fan of Trump for, the #1 thing I think he could accomplish is shortening the US's supply chain and bringing manufacturing home.

To back this up, the AP reports that doctors are reassessing the use of ventilators for COVID-19, and spells out how the use of ventilators isn't working out the way it should.

Note, however, that the article manages to NOT mention that there may be other, better alternatives for treatment (including a certain anti-malarial drug possibly mentioned once or twice by the Orangeman President).

https://apnews.com/8ccd325c2be9bf454c2128dcb7bd616d

Obviously, we need to stop producing ventilators and start producing hyperbaric chambers. And healthy blood donors.
