Ohio non-congregate shelter order?

The Q side of Gab is shrieking it's an attempt to legalize putting anyone with symptoms in a camp.  What do you guys think?

I wonder if someone found a way to pull in more federal money and this announcement is one of the steps to get it.  They are trying to use public buildings that are already going unused.

I'm in Ohio, a .gov employee, and this is making me laugh.  Ohio has attempted and failed at a mask mandate, limits on crowd size, early closing times on bars, etc.  The thought that somehow they are going to force people into camps just makes me laugh, when they can't even get people to agree to wear a mask.

We had one of these shelters set up in Snohomish County and there was another in King County.  They were geared primarily towards the homeless with COVID who needed a place to stay as they were treated, recovered, or were quarantined.  Both of the shelters had very low census and eventually closed.  The expected surge in the homeless population did not exceed the capacity of the hospitals to deal with the number of cases.  There was legal language allowing for people to be detained for public health reasons if they did not agree to be in the shelters voluntarily.  But such language and ability to detain has been around for decades.

I had to chuckle when I noticed the first part used the word "force" and the second part used the word "agree."

Has something to do with federal EMA (Emergency Management Agency) funds.  Order was issued in March, renewed in April, and was just renewed again.

And don't hold your breath on impeaching DeWine.  The Republican party is divided on the issue.  Absent some agreement within the majority of the party, he's staying.

I'm not holding my breath,  but if he stays,  they can kiss the next governor's race goodbye.  I'll abstain or vote dem out of sheer spite for that RINO.  I can at least count on a dem to *expletive deleted*ck me,  I resent it more when it's from someone who allegedly represents me.
